Tehran International Book Fair wraps up in Iran capital

Latest edition of Tehran International Book Fair has come to an end on May 13 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The book fair mounted in Tehran in May on an annual basis. The cultural event has turned into a well-established book fair in the Middle East and Asia after 29 editions in a row.
Millions of visitors attended the 30th edition of the event, including thousands of university students, scholars and their families. The event serves as one of the most significant cultural events in Iran.

The closing ceremony for the fair was held on Saturday after more than 10 days run with several Iranian cultural officials, including Iran Minster of Culture and Islamic Guidance, in attendance.

The fair’s organizers awarded Italy ambassador to Iran at the event whose country was the guest of honor at the latest edition of the fair.

With Istanbul chosen as the Special Guest City of 2017 Tehran International Book Fair, one of the representatives of the Turkish city’s stand at the event was also prized.
